DCKAP (Chennai, Anna Nagar branch) organized a Blood Donation Camp in alliance with the Indian Red Cross Society, as a part of Corporate Social Activity to mark its 8th Anniversary. This event was prearranged solely for the employees of DCKAP Technologies of both Anna Nagar and Korattur branches on 17th May, 2013. This blood donation camp is a part of Social Awareness camp which talks about the importance of Blood Donation such that it will create awareness about the social responsibility of any corporate.

The objective of this creditable deed by DCKAP not only just creates awareness amongst people but also helped in saving many lives. Blood which is the most important commodity in the field of medicine have pitifully turned into a business. But by taking efforts to perform such noble initiatives, DCKAP sets itself an example of offering without expecting returns.

Research reports illustrate every third person in this world will require blood during some part of their lifetime.  At present the number of people coming forward to donate blood is very low, so it is necessary awareness must be given to public regarding the importance of blood donation. This program by DCKAP has encouraged a huge number of employees to donate blood.

The doctors and technicians who helped the camp to be a success also appreciated the enthusiasm of employees and DCKAP’s contribution towards this noble cause. As an educated section of public, the employees of DCKAP empathized on the importance of donating blood with no uncertainties. They were more than willing to be a part of this project and employees who were eligible for donating blood volunteered.

At this point of time, we feel immensely happy to express our feeling of gratitude towards all the donors, volunteers and organizers whose tremendous effort made this a remarkable event in the history of DCKAP.
