Looking to integrate oracle with Magento? Discuss with our team of professionals that delivers high performance Magento services.

Magento is an enhanced eCommerce platform, built on open-source technology that provides online merchants with enhanced flexibility and control over the look, content and functionality of their eCommerce store. When it comes to a whole business cycle, it requires human effort to manually obtain information from Magento and feed the data into their business suite (ERP software), which might cause manual errors. Most of the medium and large scale industries have this concern in their business. Integrating the Magento eCommerce store with their Oracle EBS system will help business owners to manage all the information on the web seamlessly without any manual intervention.

In this integration, Magento is bridged with Oracle EBS, which will allow us to have enhanced tracking over the customer’s information, inventory, sales orders, finance and other essential components. By integrating Magento with Oracle ERP system, it will provide many benefits that online store owners can leverage. Magento & Oracle EBS together serve as balancing programs to each other. This great combination not only makes Enterprise operations more efficient, but also facilitates to:

  • Eliminate data duplication and redundancy
  • Automatic data exchange from Magento into Oracle EBS and vice versa
  • Secure information transfer in real time
  • Automatic sync of new orders
  • Bi-directional synchronization of all updates

The integration consists of a Magento Web service with a set of functionality to update and fetch data to & from Magento. It includes a CRON file together with a post processor running in a scheduler on the server running the Oracle EBS system. The CRON takes care of reading and writing XML/CSV files to or from the NAV-server over to Magento. All latest versions of Magento Community Edition and Magento Enterprise Edition are supported for this integration.

Key benefits of the Magento Oracle EBS integrations include;

Customer Data Synchronization: New and existing customer’s account, contact information, billing and shipping address, will be synchronized across Magento and Oracle systems in two ways.

Enhanced Inventory Management: Magento, when integrated with Oracle EBS, allows you to manage the catalogue efficiently. The product availability statuses are updated automatically without any manual effort. The Oracle system updates the product status based on the stock, which can be monitored in Magento. Thus, it reduces time to replenish inventory.

Product and Price Synchronization: There exists a two-way synchronization between the systems. When a product or price is updated in Magento system, there will be an instant update made in the Oracle EBS system and vice versa.

Synchronization of Sales Orders: Orders placed by both web users and offline customers (i.e. order through phone) will be instantaneously updated in both Magento and Oracle EBS systems. The web orders flow will be from Magento to Oracle and Phone orders either from EBS to Magento or vice versa.

While integrating Magento with Oracle EBS system, it is much essential to prioritize the most important objects that will be the key success to your business and also the types of data/information that you need to have access and visibility among your systems.
