Hi, it would be helpful if you provided comparisons to your Drupal numbers. Is usage for CMS up in general, of just Drupal? for example. Otherwise, thanks for the post, and I hope you enjoy your new digs!

The blog talks about trends in interest shown for new projects, which does not mean ‘usage’, until implementation is completed. In that sense, yes, our recent observation has been that interest in FOSS-CMS is up, and Drupal markedly so. We found our experience agreeing well with reports such as those we quoted.
