Magento Version CE 1.7.0.0
This year (2012) Magneto released 1.7.0.0 versions, Magento Preview Version CE 1.7.0.0-beta1 was released on March 2nd, 2012, but it was not a security release so it would not be used in a production environment. The Version CE 1.7.0.0-beta1 is packed with new features, improvements, changes and bug fixes.
Not leaving much gap, the release of Magento Community Preview Version 1.7.0.0-RC1 happened on March 28, 2012.
Finally Magento Version CE 1.7.0.0 released on April 24, 2012, Magento Enterprise 1.12 and Community 1.7 now available with the recent enhancements to the powerful eCommerce offerings help merchants provide a more personalized shopping experience for their customers.
