Inspirational Keynote Speakers

Doug Stephens – Founder and President of Retail Prophet, one of the world’s foremost retail industry consultancies, will be taking one of the first spots of the event on June 25th. As a renowned futurist and insightful spokesman for the retail industry, you can expect mind-blowing topics from his speech, from the radical transformation of the retail industry and the entire shopping experience, to the implementation of virtual technology and the internet-of-things.Andy Dunn – Senior Vice President of Digital Consumer Brands at Walmart, will be the keynote speaker on the second day of the conference. He is expected to cover the struggles that traditional retailers have experienced in light of the boom in eCommerce and savviness of direct-to-consumer retail. Expect to be immersed in the ‘why’ as he discusses the growth of digital brands and the ‘how’ as he talks about the future of traditional shopping experiences. Susan Tynan – Founder and CEO at Framebridge, will speak on the last day of events at the Expo Hall on June 27th. With her experience in growing a fledgling company into a successful empire, she is sure to have some amazing insights for future growth and building that bridge to reach similar high-end success.

Opportunities for Socializing

The event will start on June 25th, with the official Welcome Reception and an Open Bar from 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. on the show floor in the Expo Hall. This is a great opportunity to break down barriers, socialize with your peers, and perhaps meet-up with some of the people you are hoping to speak with. It’s also a good way to ease into the long journey ahead.Just when you’re in the thick of it, feeling overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the event, there will be another Open Bar on June 26th from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. on the show floor. Take the much needed break from walking the professional path with the opportunity to cheer with your fellow attendees, and get your second wind for the remainder of the event.

Everything the City Has to Offer

June is a month that offers more than just the best weather in Chicago. It is full of outdoor events and festivals aplenty. Come in early and take in the many sights, or plan a night of music with the famous Jazzin’ at the Shedd event. It runs every Wednesday night from 5:00 p.m. – 10 p.m at the popular Shedd Aquarium. If you’re extending your stay, you enjoy art and want a taste of the city, then try the nearby 2019 Millennium Art Festival. It runs conveniently just as the conference ends, from June 28th to June 30th.
