Flow Control Group

ERP Integration support for multiple brands

Client Overview

Flow Control Group is a leading distributor of products and solutions provider for flow control, fluid handling, and process & industrial automation sectors. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. They’re present in over 170 locations in the United States and Canada, offering over 85 unique brands to their customers.

Challenges

With more than 85 brands operating under its umbrella, Flow Control Group (FCG) manages a diverse customer base across industries ranging from aerospace and oil & gas to utilities and manufacturing. While they did have great reach and strength, they got introduced to significant operational challenges.

Each sub-brand such as Rankin (RAN), Schaltz Automation (SCA), Triphase (TPA), Monarch (MON), North West Automation (NWA), Cimtech (CIM), SFP, CFP, BLT, CEP, CB Pacific (CBP), and Toyota Motors (TMM) operated with its own processes, leading to fragmented data across systems. For sellers, managers, and operations teams, this meant customer information, orders, and quotes were often disconnected.

Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) remained the trusted source of truth for customer master data, quotes, orders, and invoices. However, Salesforce and other business applications were increasingly used by sellers to track opportunities, budgets, and performance.

Without integration, the group faced:

  • Inconsistent visibility into customer data across systems.
  • Manual effort to reconcile sales and ERP records.
  • Fragmented reporting across different sub-brands.
  • Lack of real-time insights for forecasting and decision-making.

The need was pretty clear, unifying data across brands and systems while maintaining ERP stability.

Solutions

To address these challenges, Flow Control Group partnered with DCKAP to connect Epicor Prophet 21 with Salesforce. DCKAP Integrator created seamless pipelines for master records and transaction data, ensuring customer accounts, quotes, orders, and invoices were accurately reflected across platforms.

This approach allowed sales teams to work with reliable, real-time information while keeping P21 as the backbone of operations.
