Every year, around this time, I sit down to document a year’s worth of DCKAP’s experiences. This past year has been a very eventful one indeed. As I look back and reflect on 2024, one of our Big Wins has been with our corporate restructuring.
Klizer
As DCKAP continues to focus on our products that serve Distributors and Manufacturers, our services offerings have now been set up as a new business, with Klizer.
DCKAP started out as a services organization back in 2005. A lot of companies strive to do more and move from doing services to products, and the process can be very difficult. However, we have been fortunate in this transition, and I am glad this has been executed well.
A lot of thinking and work went into this over the last few years. 10 years from now, this will be looked at as a great case study on how to make such a shift. Klizer has a separate leadership team and runs independently of DCKAP. At this point in time, I also want to thank our stellar Team and Customers during this transition. They have been super supportive and always welcoming with our growth efforts.
DCKAP Integrator
Our leading ERP Integration platform for Distributors and Manufacturers achieved significant milestones this year. We stabilized our workflows and migrated our existing customers to the new work-flow module. Our team also launched Single Sign On for the DCKAP Product Suite and implemented Kubernetes for auto-scaling and region-based deployment. Our databases moved from open source MongoDB to ATLAS Enterprise cloud. We also launched a fresh new look for our Integrator with a new color, font and cleaner layout.
DCKAP Integrator made 212 million API calls this past year with 11 million dynamic calls. Our ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) for the platform crossed $1 million and our churn reduced from 8.8% to 4.4% this year. Some of our customers include EB Horsman, Flow Control Group, EZ-UP, Spruce Industries and Wave Electronics. We listened to our customers and one offering we were missing so far was EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). This year, we launched a new EDI offering with the DCKAP Integrator. Tangent Materials, a poly lumber and plastic lumber manufacturer based in Aurora, IL is a valued customer using the EDI platform.
QA Touch
You won’t see our Test Management Platform very often on the main DCKAP site, as it is built for a different audience compared to the core DCKAP product suite. QA Touch is trusted by companies such as Comcast, Home Depot, Lexis Nexis, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, JIO and more. We have a lean team building the product and have over 300 customers across different verticals, and we acquired 100+ new customers just this year. Testing Professionals play a key role in the successful launch of products or services. When they move from one company to another, they also take our QA Touch along with them. This is a great validation of our product.
QA Touch is an AI enabled Test Management platform. This year we also launched ChatGPT powered test cases. Our MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue) increased by over 30%, and our Annual Recurring Revenue is over $190,000/year. We are still scratching the surface and have a long way to go. We are building QA Touch for the long term. Based on the feedback we received from our customers, we will be adding Automation Capabilities to our product. We also launched a brand new podcast for QA (Quality Assurance Professionals), Coffee with Testers.
Investments
Subtraction is a great way to multiply in business. We subtracted things that did not work and it helped us focus better. While it may seem disappointing to discontinue a product we’ve invested in, we strive to learn from each and every failure we have in order to improve.
Though we think PIM (Product Information Management) is a great opportunity, we are taking a temporary pause. Zircly is an internal employee engagement platform that both DCKAP and Klizer use. It was created within the company and serves our needs well. We use it every day. However, we decided to take a pause for an external launch so we can continue to focus on improving the product and finding its best fit. We continue to run multiple experiments and take multiple bets. We see these as investments into the future (some work and some don’t).
Last year, we also set a goal for ourselves to get to at least 10 customers by the end of 2024 for our DCKAP Commerce product, and we’re only halfway through it so far. We will be continuing our investments here and revisit the progress by the end of June 2025.
Driven By DCKAP Podcast
Over this past year, our podcast has grown and it is becoming a great resource for the Manufacturing and Distribution industry and all of our customers. We’ve had over 53k streams, and we’ve reached over 1.1k followers on our YouTube channel which we launched just last year. Our goal had been to publish an episode every two weeks, and we’re happy to say that we produced over 24 episodes in 2024. With each one, we have continued to improve the quality of our production and focus on the most important topics in each discussion that our audience would benefit most from.
Some of our notable guests this past season have included Tammy Miller (the former Lt. Governor of North Dakota), Mike Marks (the Managing Partner of Indian River Consulting Group), Robert C. Wolcott (Author, Co-Founder and Chair of TWIN Global), Clint Oram (Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at SugarCRM), Jim Hansen (Chief Product Officer at Advantive), Tom Gale (CEO of MDM), and many more.
We’re very grateful for all the support, and we’re excited to continue improving and growing the podcast as we head into 2025. Join us and subscribe!
End of the Year Reflections
I am grateful for the culture we have built over the years and our wonderful team. We do not take this success for granted, and we are continuously evolving. Thanks to Stanford University’s Continuing Studies program, our team is able to up-skill themselves by enrolling in various courses. We are thankful for DCKAP Palli (School) which will help create our next generation of leadership.
We are also thankful that our team is able to travel the world, to meet with customers and attend various events and conferences. We continue to be a fully distributed and remote team, and this serves us well. This also helps with diversity amongst our team. Reading and writing are also an essential part of the DCKAP Culture, and it’s encouraging to see how our team embraces this.
DCKAP Round-Up 2024 was also a highlight of the year for us. It was a wonderful event held at the Adler Planetarium, and it was great to meet leaders in distribution, set against the backdrop of DCKAP’s place of origin in Chicago.
Check out the Highlight Reel video below for a glimpse of this great event, and you can watch the full presentations by all our speakers here.
We are also thankful for the DCKAP Homecoming we held in God’s own country, Kerala, where our team from across the globe traveled for the 3-day get-together. & You can watch some of the amazing highlights from that in the video below:
I also want to take a moment to thank each and every one of our customers, partners, and everyone in our community for your constant support and encouragement. This means a lot to us, and we will strive to serve you better. We want to continue keeping things simple and transparent. I am glad we were able to reinvent ourselves in 2024, and it is still Day Zero.
Wishing you and your families a very happy, prosperous and healthy 2025!

Thank you,
Karthik Chidambaram
