One of the events I look forward to every year is the Acumatica Summit. The Cloud Based ERP Software Company takes pride in building community, and this event is one of the best ways to get involved. It was great attending this year’s Acumatica Summit hosted at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas, NV. I had missed the last one back in July 2021 due to catching Covid and even getting hospitalized. It was quite the journey but I’m happy to be back in action, fully restored to be able to attend this year’s event.
With the recent spike of the latest Covid strand Omicron, the Acumatica team ensured safety for all attendees. When you first arrive for registration, you have the option to choose a wristband. Green means you are ok with fist bumps, Yellow means approach with caution, and Red means please stay at least 6 feet away. With around 1,800 guests in attendance, I never felt at risk from the event. Several companies provided lots of Covid prevention swag like masks, touchless keys, sanitizer, and spacing out the seats to every other chair. Great job to everyone who played their part in making this event safe and following CDC guidelines.
Before heading to the Keynote, I made my way to the Marketplace to grab a quick breakfast before the event started. The Wynn has some of the best food in Las Vegas, especially compared to other conference venues. The menu can cater to all dietary needs from Vegan, Healthy Options, and Delicious no holding back options. Coffee and snacks were always available just in case you needed a break. I’ve always been a fan whenever an event chooses The Wynn as their location. The employees go above and beyond making you feel like VIP, food is exquisite, and the views near the conference rooms are exceptional. The Wynn/Encore Casinos are truly World Class.
The Summit kicked off with a Keynote from CEO, Jon Roskill, welcoming the attendees. He gave us business highlights and news announcements about the future direction of the company. There was lots of excitement and you could definitely feel the energy throughout the crowd. With each new feature announced came more applause. The community was happy to hear the latest updates especially if it was going to make their jobs easier using the platform. Acumatica does a great job at listening to feedback and implementing those changes.
The Summit was jam packed with lots of great content. Some of my favorite sessions were the Partner General Session where I was able to see the latest announcements on what it takes to be a successful partner within the ecosystem. That session was led by Sanket Akerkar, Chief Revenue Officer of Acumatica.
Another great session was led by Josh Fischer, Senior Manager Product Management for Acumatica and Amir Hessabi, Team Lead Solutions Engineering at BigCommerce on The Introduction To BigCommerce and Acumatica’s Retail-Commerce Edition. In this session BigCommerce introduced their platform, the benefits of their solution and showed how customers are using the solution today to grow their business. DCKAP is a proud partner in the BigCommerce ecosystem and it is great to see collaboration on both sides.
The last session that stood out was How to Maximize Migrations from Sage’s Legacy Products to Acumatica led by Divya Ganesh, Director Partner Marketing at Acumatica and Rob Sidrow, Product Marketing Manager at Acumatica. While they’re investing heavily in Sage Intacct, they are neglecting their legacy product customers.
It was great to see Acumatica’s strategy in targeting these legacy clients to migrate from Sage 100, 300, and 500 to Acumatica’s platform. From the data that was shown, there were just under 60,000 clients on these legacy platforms. Plenty of opportunity for growth to win over these clients over to Acumatica.

What a great community to be a part of. I’ve seen other communities within the Technology space but nothing compares to the Acumatica community. The ecosystem is filled with lots of great partnerships where everyone wins together. With BigCommerce investing heavily into this ERP System, expect Acumatica to be a huge player in the ERP space.
The Acumatica Summit was a huge success this year and I look forward to next year’s event!
