Some of the key findings to secure an ecommerce website are.
- Encrypt and secure customer data
- Create a custom admin path. instead of using the path ‘admin’.
- Choose a complex password.
- Always use secure FTP.
- Deploy a web application firewall.
- Have a DDOS mitigation plan.
- Keep your web site software updated.
- Be ready for spikes in traffic.

Being my first time at Imagine commerce it was a day of learnings, inspiration and a great chance to communicate with the fellow Magento community.
