Life did not take over the world by combat, but by networking
DCKAP has been keen on building an organic community around every possible technology verticals that we’re passionate about. Over of the course of three good years, we’ve conducted over double dozens of meetups in Chennai and the United States covering Magento, Shopify, Digital Marketing and UI/UX. Having received a great response back from our very first Shopify meetup, we proceeded with the Second Shopify Meetup.
The Second Shopify Meetup, Chennai, held on June 8, 2018. The meetup started with a welcome speech by Vishnu Priya, Software Engineer, DCKAP, followed by a quick introduction about the participants. Three of our DCKAPians stood forward to present their expertise and prowess in the respective areas. Each of them addressed the group with unique and useful topics that really turned out to be engaging and eye-opening.

Techniques, ideas, and strategies for maximizing your online revenue
The first presentation was by Sowmiya, Senior Shopify Developer, DCKAP. It was an interesting talk about the major features available in Shopify and how it could help merchants to maximize their online revenue. She also talked about up-selling and cross-selling products in Shopify. The presentation was enlightening and it sparked healthy conversation about increasing traffic through Instagram channels. She populated few stats and pointed out a couple of features on Integrating Shopify store with Instagram and selling on Instagram. 
Shopify apps that can help take your site to the next level
After the technical discussion, Govindraj, Software Engineer, made a refreshing presentation addressing how could Shopify apps take every eCommerce site to the next level. The presentation had some interesting statistics on the growth of Shopify apps and how it could ease up the work of a developer as well as show great results to the store owner as such. He also populated more than a dozen Shopify apps, including Langify and Yotopo, along with their uses and functionalities. The session was engaging and the final verdict was to get more out of Shopify Store using the plethora of apps.

Building for Developer Success with Shopify’s Newest APIs
The final session was by Pasupathi, Shopify Developer, and he shared his views on Developer success using Shopify’s latest APIs. His presentation concentrated more on few latest APIs from Shopify that could come handy to developers and in a manner reduce the burden. The session initiated some steamy conversations and we’re utterly satisfied to achieve the motive of the networking.
Networking Session and Team Snap
The networking session that followed was fuelled by copious cups of tea/coffee and snacks and this was followed by a team snap. Overall it was a very successful and interesting meetup.
