Dckap Experience and fifteen year Anniversary

#workfromhome

DCKAP was one of the first companies to go to a work from home model in the face of COVID-19. On Friday, March 13, 2020 we announced that all our employees will be working from home. This lead time helped our employees to travel safely to their homes avoiding the last minute rush. The move from WFO (Work From Office) to WFH (Work from Home) was seamless with little or no disruption in our schedules. We published a blog on March 10, 2020 on what we are doing as a team with respect to COVID-19 and its impact on business. We want to thank all our employees for staying through these tough times and they have done a phenomenal job supporting our customers to run their businesses.

#embracingdistributedwork

According to Bloomberg, Shopify will allow its 5,000 employees to work from home indefinitely, even after the dangers of the Corona virus pandemic fade and cities lift shutdowns. Twitter employees too will be working from home even after the virus recedes. Twitter may not open the offices any time before September and even if they do, it won’t be a snap back. In a sign of growing momentum of the trend, Facebook also announced plans for a more remote-based workforce.

We did an internal survey recently and one of the questions we asked in the survey was ‘When we re-open offices would you like to continue to work from home, if it is provided as an option. To this, 69.5% said yes and 30.5% said no. The other question that came up was when are we reopening our offices so they can plan things from their end.Health and safety of our employees and everyone around us is our number one priority, we have decided to extend work from home until the end of the year for all practical purposes. The work dynamics are changing constantly because of COVID-19, and we think this is for the better and will have a good long term impact. We will continue to lead the change and equip ourselves well.
