While a majority of the Ecommerce agencies and platforms concentrate on the popular B2C market, we tend to forget the immense potential of the sleeping giant which is the B2B market.
In today’s scenario, if we analyze Magento in accordance to Geoffrey Moore’s “Crossing the Chasm”, Magento is well past the Chasm and has established itself by becoming the most preferred eCommerce platform in the B2C segment.
Inventory is every retailer’s nightmare. Carry too much, and you are left with unwanted surpluses and margin-killing markdowns. Carry too little, and you face stock outs, missed sales, and unhappy customers who end up shopping elsewhere.
The current Business to Business vertical is on a steep rise and more importantly, the way merchants look at the business has also changed. B2B used to be an extension of B2C (Business to Customers).
On June 20th, 2017, there was an interesting webinar for the developers on Magento 2.2. The webinar was exciting because Magento 2.2 also has some native B2B features included in the core.
